Tourniqets to Iraq

March 30, 2005 (La Verne, CA) – Bio Cybernetics International (BCI) has joined with Congressman David Dreier (R-CA), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, to expedite the delivery of tourniquets to soldiers in the field. The Congressman, who is currently leading a Congressional Delegation in the Middle East, personally delivered 100 of Bio Cybernetics’ Cybertech Mechanical Advantage Tourniquets (MAT) to troops in Iraq.

The Congressman noted, "It is imperative that our troops have the appropriate equipment and the most advanced life-saving technologies. I am grateful to Bio Cybernetics International for making these devices available for us to deliver to our troops on the ground."

Bio Cybernetics donated the Mechanical Advantage Tourniquets upon hearing that Congressman Dreier would be visiting with troops overseas. MAT is a new tourniquet design that allows a soldier or other personnel to quickly apply or release the tourniquet with one hand, either on himself or to another individual. Brad Rosborough, President of Bio Cybernetics International said, "We support our efforts in Iraq and are honored to work with Congressman Dreier with this important effort. We believe that by supplying our men and women in the military with the MAT, we are helping them prepare for virtually any life-threatening problem."
